This section should include the operational side of your business; the team involved, location, equipment etc.

The people

When raising capital, investors are very keen to know who will be running the business and what experience they have within the chosen industry. This can often be the deciding factor when investing, therefore it’s essential that you provide structured detail of key positions within the organisation e.g. whose involved, their background / history, experience and qualification.


You should also include details of the entire workforce e.g number of people employed, average salaries / hours, any planned outsourcing etc. This should include details of recruitment strategies and budgeting.


Premises

Give details of your business premises including, location with advantages / disadvantages, whether you own or rent and conditions of any leases / legal contracts.


Production

Detail any production requirements for your business. Does equipment need to be purchased or can the business lease. Would outsourcing be an option? What production capacities do you have within the business and can this cope with demand? Is the any need for further investment?


Information Technology

IT is generally a key factor to any business in terms of efficient operations. Within this section detail your planned set up, showing the strengths and weaknesses. You should also include any development required.
